Woman Walks Into A Police Station After Heavy Drinking
Concerns concerning the increase in alcoholism cases in the area have been voiced by the local clergy in Kinangop.
After a night of drinking, a woman entered the Engineer police station and passed out on the floor.
Alcoholism has been misused as a coping mechanism for difficulties.
Sobering up, the woman got up in the morning and headed for home.
Another incident in Kisii involved a man who, after a night of excessive drinking, set his house on fire.
Due to his inability to maintain the facility, he is claimed to have been depressed after losing his land to a financial organization.
By educating the public about the risks of drinking, clerics have encouraged the police to aid in the rehabilitation of alcoholics.
Additionally, they urged the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) to assist in raising public awareness of the risks associated with alcoholism and other vices.
