Wife To The Man Who Burnt Himself And His Child In The Car Speaks On What Went Down
Denis Musyoka’s wife, Elizabeth Munyalo, has disclosed that their separation was caused by the deceased’s history of violence.
In Nairobi’s Nasra estate, Musyoka set himself on fire on Sunday, killing himself in the process.
Their daughter perished from burn wounds, but Elizabeth was injured but survived with many slashes to her neck after he assaulted her.
After their separation, the couple argued about who would get custody of the 2-year-old child.
“We had underlying domestic issues from last year and decided to end our relationship. After I moved out, he ordered that I give him back the baby,” Munyalo told the media.
“After so many threats, I decided to allow him to see the baby. He was angry after I informed him that I was not available on Saturday when my daughter was celebrating her birthday. So when I took the baby on Sunday, he told me that he was going to kill all of us including the baby,” she added.
Musyoka could be seen in an altercation on the CCTV tape that the police were able to secure before he drew a knife and stabbed Elizabeth.
The guy then locked himself in the car with his daughter and lit the vehicle on fire.
Wellwishers managed to get the 2-year-old toddler out of the flaming vehicle but she died from injuries while being taken to Kenyatta National Hospital.
