“We Are Just Suspects,We Did Not Steal Jalang’o’s Money” Eli And Litiema defend themselves
Two employees accused of stealing money from the home of Langata MP aspirant Jalang’o, Eli Omundu and Morrison Litiema, have denied the widespread allegations.
According to Eli, they did not steal the money as Jalang’o claimed and are looking forward to speaking with the comedian to determine the truth.
“It is not yet known where the money is or with whom, we are just suspects.”
“It is a small issue, we are waiting to meet boss (Jalang’o) to talk. We have talked on phone and he says he is OK, we are waiting for the final word,” Eli told Milele FM.
Morrison, his co-accused, also insisted on not having the money and requesting an audience with Jalang’o.
“We can’t talk about that now, we want to talk to him first.”
Eli went on to say that they fled Nairobi for fear of being subjected to mob justice once the reports became public.
“We are famous people, you can just sit there and be subjected to mob justice. We can not do such a thing,” he said.
Jalang’o had previously accused the pair of stealing a large sum of money from his car and fleeing the city.
The Langata MP candidate slammed the act, claiming that the two had betrayed him despite the fact that he treated them as family and even helped them build their online brands.
