Wajackoya’s Wife Leedin Breaks Silence On KIEMS Kit Failing To Recognize Him
George Wajackoyah, the leader of the Roots Party, has not left much to the imagination. He never holds back when speaking what is on his mind, and this, combined with his pranks, has won the hearts of Kenyans.
However, the one thing he has kept private is his family-related business. He has never spoken openly about his family, nuclear or otherwise, even when he collapses on top of his car and tells Kondele locals that he was dreaming Raila Odinga had endorsed him for president or that we will start exporting hyena testicles.
On election day, he appeared in Matungu Constituency, Kakamega County, with his wife Leedin, which significantly altered this.
When Wajackoyah arrived at the debate to inform the organizers that he would not participate if all the contestants were not present, many people saw her for the first time.
However, Wajackoyah shocked everyone on Tuesday’s election day, including Leedin, when he requested that she speak to the media.
Wajackoyah requested her to support him during a media appearance where he complained about being told to wait to cast his ballot after the KIEMS kits failed. Later, he was granted voting rights.
“My wife here was telling me… please, let Kenyans hear your voice for the first time,” he said as she smiled looking a tad rattled.
“I wasn’t really expecting this,” she said. “But it’s very disappointing for the machines to not be working on the day that’s most important to the lives of all Kenyans concerned. However, no weapon formed against us the people of God, the people of Kenya shall prosper. That’s the ground that we stand on, so, you all remain vigilant, remain cool, remain calm and we’ll see this thing to the end, thank you.”
Reporters tried to get more information from Leedin but Wajackoyah would not let anything slip.
“Is this your first time experiencing a Kenyan election?” Quipped Mr. Wanga.
“It is, yes…,” she replied.
“Don’t go further than that, please,” said Wajackoyah even as the reporters tried to plead for more.
According to Wajackoyah, his wife resides in the United States, while their three children—two daughters, Marjorie and Marz, and a son, Ty—dwell in the UK.
