Wafula Chebukati; All Presidential Candidates Are Invited To Witness Printing Of Ballot Papers In Greece,
Ahead of the general election, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has demonstrated its commitment to regaining the faith and trust of the Kenyan voters.
The concerns that the commission, as it currently stands, cannot conduct free and fair elections next month are at their height at this time due to the prevalence of high-octane campaigns.
The Wafula Chebukati-led electoral agency was accused by the political group Azimio La Umoja of conspiring with rivals, notably Kenya Kwanza, to rig the upcoming election.
The side led by Raila Odinga alleged that the stuffing of ballot papers, which are to be supplied by the Greek company Inform Lykos, would be the source of electoral fraud.
According to Azimio, Inform Lykos is connected to Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula, a prominent member of the Kenya Kwanza alliance.
The presidential candidates will be free to observe the entire process of printing ballots, the IEBC declared, in an effort to calm concerns and questions about the integrity of the election.
