Vanessa Mdee Calls Out Music Company Over Non Payment
Tanzanian artist Vanessa Mdee, who resides in Atlanta, has criticized her distribution business Mzikii for failing to pay her.
Vanessa pleaded with the music distribution firm to honor the terms of the contract she signed in a message posted on her social media pages.
The singer added that she attempted utilizing her management team to get her money back but that the business has not yet responded to her complaints.
“My goodness, money made from music is sought with difficulty by the artists from the creation until it reaches the people. Please Mzikii, I asked you to pay me my money according to the agreement we made. I have tried the professional way with my team but now you have reached the point where you have seized to answer,” read the statement.
Before leaving the music industry to move to Atlanta with her fiancé, Vanessa had been producing popular songs. Some of the collaborations and hit songs from Africa include Nobody but me, Juu, Niroge, Cash Madam, and Kisela, which has received over 2 million views on YouTube.
