TIFA Polls; Sakaja Leads In Nairobi Gubernatorial Seat Against Igathe
Results of the most recent poll conducted in Nairobi County by the Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) research agency show that Senator Johnson Sakaja and Polycarp Igathe are the front-runners for the position of governor.
One week before the election, the results made public on Tuesday show that the Kenya Kwanza candidate is still the most well-liked, with a popularity rating of 53%, while that of his nearest rival, Igathe, is 36%.
According to the survey, Sakaja’s popularity rose from 23% to 53%, while Igathe’s popularity jumped from 15% to 36%. Furthermore, from 53% in May, there are now 10% less voters who are still unsure.
Edwin Sifuna of the ODM has a 47 percent advantage over Margaret Wanjiru of the UDA in the battle for the senatorial seat.
Despite the degree controversy, Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja was still the front-runner in the results announced on June 21, 2022.
According to the survey, he had an 8 percent advantage over Polycarp Igathe, who was his closest challenger and had a 32 percent popularity rating.
When compared to his Jubilee opponent, the UDA candidate had 41% more female supporters (24 percent ).
Igathe has more than doubled his popularity from 15% in May, despite being in second place to Sakaja.
