Thug Left Disfigured After His Robbery Attempt Gone wrong In Kileleshwa
Following a failed robbery attempt in Nairobi’s Kileleshwa Estate, a guy is being treated for injuries in police custody as he waits to be charged.
According to reports, Kawangware resident Eric Musungu and a companion broke into the nearby affluent neighborhood on Saturday night.
The two, who were riding a motorcycle, apparently did not pursue very far since police officers quickly received information about the intended attack and trapped the two along Laikipia road.
However, the criminals disobeyed the order and fled in various directions, leaving the bike behind, according to investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
“It wasn’t long before one of the thugs was swept off his feet by the long legged Corporal Miheso, catapulting him to the air for a moment before he landed on the ground with a thud,” DCI said.
“But before Miheso handcuffed the thug and led him to the police station, an angry mob of nduthi men that was chasing closely behind baying for his blood, descended on him with an avalanche of blows and kicks, disfiguring his dental arrangement and gifting him a swollen eye.”
In connection with the incident, police found a handmade pistol and one 9mm round. While the search is being conducted, the second suspect escaped and is still at large.
