Three People Die In School Bus Accident In Meru County
Three individuals—a student at Kamiguru Primary School, a bus driver, and a truck driver—died in a horrific collision at the Ntharene section of the Meru-Nairobi Highway.
The catastrophe happened on Friday morning when a lorry transporting sand and a school bus carrying students hit head-on.
“Three people have died on the spot and several other people sustained injuries in the accident,” Ntharene chief Isabella Mutura said.
Eyewitnesses said that the lorry was traveling from Nkubu down Kanyakine when it lost control at a sharp incline near the Ntharene Market and struck the school bus head-on.
