Early this week, Wasafi’s manager Babu Tale refuted claims that artists’ departures from the record company are due to contract issues.
When questioned about how WCB contracts operate, Tale shot off the inquiry by stating that private signings are required.
“We have to be very professional. If you see someone unleashing bedroom affairs out at the dining table, they are not well taught,” he said.
“I have been in the industry for many years and when I speak, I speak that which I know and understand, but we are transforming from music to business.”
Regarding the recent departures of Rich Mavoko, Harmonize, and Rayvanny from the label, Tale stated that they appreciate anyone who feels they should have a say in how they do their business.
