There Is Nothing Linking Raila To Jacaranda Chaos, I Have No Proof; Kabogo Defends Raila
Tujibebe Wakenya party leader William Kabogo has cleared Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga of charges of causing chaos at Jacaranda Grounds.
During an interview on NTV on Monday, June 20, the gubernatorial candidate refuted Deputy President William Ruto’s claims that Raila orchestrated the violence.
He explained that, at times, politicians are fond of planning their own attacks to get sympathy from the electorate. However, he stated that he had not accused the DP of planning his attack.
“I can not say it’s Raila Odinga because I don’t know. You know we politicians can at times plan such chaos so that we may get sympathy from the electorate. I can not say for sure it’s Raila. I am only giving you options. I have no proof to say whether it is Ruto or Raila but it is unnecessary,” said the former county chief.
Kabogo joined the chorus of leaders who condemned the violence, saying it was unfortunate that it was taking place in Kenya. He stated that the issue is politicians who transport youths with clubs to cause chaos at various meetings.
“Very unfortunate. In this time and age, we are not supposed to witness such chaos in Kenya. But politicians, not leaders. Leaders don’t do such things. We are the problem, not Kenyans. When you hire a bus full of youths carrying clubs, What is the function of the clubs?” posed Kabogo
The gubernatorial aspirant asked other politicians to be peaceful and tolerant as it happens in other democratic nations.
“It should not happen in modern Kenya. Why don’t you allow your opponent to sell their agenda in peace as it happens across the world,” added Kabogo.
