“Stop Misbehaving,” Martha Karua Tells William Ruto As She Warns Kenyans Not To Waste Their Time Voting Kenya Kwanza Alliance
Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party presidential running mate Martha Karua has warned the Mt Kenya region not to vote for the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Karua told the electorate that the team leaders led by Deputy President William Ruto had questionable integrity and no vision for the country.
“Do not waste your time by voting for the Kenya Kwanza alliance, the camp is full of leaders with questionable integrity and poor development track record for the time they have been in power,” Karua said at a rally at Kathwana Stadium in Tharaka Nithi
During her rallies on Thursday, June 16, in the vote-rich Mt Kenya East counties, Karua warned voters not to be swayed by promises of money from politicians, warning that they might end up with the wrong leaders.
“Money is a good thing, take it and vote wisely, but be careful not to be lured to vote for the wrong leaders who have nothing to offer,” Karua added.

Karua rallied residents to vote for ODM leader Raila Odinga in the August 9 General Election at the ASK Show-ground in Meru, where Governor Kiraitu Murungi hosted her. Karua advised voters that Azimio was the best option if they wanted their interests to be prioritized in the next government.
“We are calling on Mt Kenya region and Meru included to come out in large numbers to vote for Azimio, because this is the only government that will take care of the interests of the region,” she added.
She chastised Ruto for his spat with President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of being disrespectful to the head of state.
On Monday, June 17, Karua requested that Ruto remain humble and respectful of his boss, Uhuru, for the remainder of their term. On Sunday, June 12, Karua accused Ruto of overstepping his mandate and acting like a co-President during a rally in Ruto’s Eldoret backyard.
“If you are called deputy president behave like one. A meeting cannot have two chairmen. Similarly, there can never be two presidents at a time. There can never be two governors in a county. So if you’re a deputy, be a deputy and not a co-President,” she said.
