Ruto’s Team Dismisses Letter On 13M Payment To Twitter Influencers Terming It As Fake
A letter circulating on social media that claimed to reveal payments authorised to Twitter influencers for internet services provided between August 9 and August 22 has been debunked by the communication staff of President-elect William Ruto.
Hussein Mohammed, the director of Ruto’s campaign secretariat, described the letter as a last-ditch effort by “masters of fabrication” in a statement on Wednesday.
By the masters of forgery and deception, desperation Mohammed responded to the mentioned letter by saying.
The letter, which Hussein Mohammed is said to have written and sent to the UDA Finance Director, purported to sanction tens of thousands of dollars in payments to five social media influencers.
The total sum on the now-declared forgery letter was US$114643 (Ksh.13.7 million).
