Quickmart, Naivas To CLose All Their Stores On Election Day
Branches of well-known merchants Naivas and Quickmart will be closed on Election Day.
According to statements made by the two businesses, the branches were closed so that employees and partners could cast ballots.
On August 10, the couple is expected to resume their regular operations.
Customers of Quickmart and Naivas have been encouraged to do their shopping in advance to avoid problems during the outlets’ shutdown.
However, orders for goods will be accepted on Naiva’s e-commerce site, but no delivery will be made on August 9.
Together, the two top merchants have over 120 branches spread out over the nation.
The temporary closure of branches will result in a further reduction in business activity on Election Day, which has historically been gazetted as a holiday in Kenya.
As a result, other important businesses like banking halls will also be closed today.
