Omar Lali Appointed By Wajackoya’s Roots Party As National Coordinator Of Beach Boys
Presidential candidate George Wajackoyah’s Roots party has appointed Omar Lali as its Coordinator of Beach Boys Association countrywide
The announcement of the appointment was made on Facebook on Friday by Wajackoyah’s running partner Justina Wamae.

Wamae claims that despite playing a significant role in Kenya’s economy and possessing a sizable number of votes that may tip an election in any candidate’s favor, beach boys are frequently disregarded when new administrations are formed.
“Beach boys spur up the tourism economy as they are guides offering lengthy tours of the coastline and the marine parks. Others sell African souvenirs such as Khangas, Maasai sandals and beadwork. Some of these traders display their wares along the sandy stretch,” she said.
“Lali brings the beach boys vote who are many at times ignored in Kenya’s development agenda. Roots party looks forward to this strategic partnership.”
Following allegations that he was responsible for Tecra Muigai’s passing on May 3, 2020, in the toilet of the home they shared, Lali gained notoriety in July 2020. Tecra was his then-girlfriend and the late Keroche heiress.
After police and the prosecutor declared themselves convinced that the death was not an accident based on evidence acquired by detectives, he was taken into custody and charged with murder.
However, Lali was released after murder charges against him were withdrawn by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji.
