Nyanshinski’s Great Perfomance At Governor Sakaja’s Swearing In Ceremony
The single performer during Johnson Sakaja’s swearing-in ceremony as the new Nairobi Governor on Thursday at the KICC was Kenyan rapper Nyamari Ongegu, better known by his stage name Nyashinski.
At the occasion, which was also attended by high-ranking authorities, including President-elect William Ruto, Nyashinski arrived hand-in-hand with his wife Zia Bett and his producer Cedo.
personality journalists The event’s hosts, Jimmy Gathu and Massawe Japani, welcomed Nyashinski to the stage and introduced him with his hit song, “Marathon Runner.”
After singing “Hayawani,” he briefly paused to congratulate Sakaja, who had previously been interviewed and had revealed that she was a major fan of his music.
“Nairobi how are you feeling? Let me see you wave your hand in the air one time…congratulations are in order to my friend,” he said, as he broke out into yet another song – ‘Hayawani.’
After that, he added: “Congratulations are in order, it’s my honour to perform here today at this wonderful ceremony. We’ve put our trust in you, we know you will do your best.”
Nyashinski closed out his performance with his hit song ‘Mungu Pekee’ then said “Blessings, thank you Nairobi, peace and love’ as he exited the stage.
