Nick Mutuma Breaks Silence On Breakup Rumours From His Fiance Bridget Shighadi
According to reports, the famous couple’s engagement could have dissolved following a protracted on-and-off romance that lasted for some time until they finally chose to move in together and raise their daughter, Dua.
During the world premiere of a film he directed, Mutuma was asked to comment on the situation, but he simply provided a cursory answer and declined to go into more detail.
The actor said everything was well when asked about his family.
“My family is okay, the baby is okay. No further comment,” he said before moving on swiftly.
He steered away from the topic noting that the focus of the event was Black Shine Brightest Stories hence there was no “need to ruin the night commenting about my personal life”.
“Tonight is all about Black Shine Brightest Stories which has been the most hyped project. I don’t need to ruin the night commenting about my personal life,” Mutuma explained.
When the actress traveled to Dubai to celebrate her 31st birthday alone last month, there were reports of things breaking down.
The actor was conspicuously absent from the pictures that the diva posted on social media as she celebrated her birthday.
Mutuma remained silent, not even wishing the mother of his daughter a happy birthday as he had done when Shighadi turned 30 the previous year.
“May this day be as sunny as your smile. Happy birthday Bridget Shighadi and welcome to the third floor. Help me wish Mama Dua a happy birthday,” Mutuma wrote at the time in 2021.
As rumors of their breakup surfaced, internet users were quick to read between the lines and surmised that the couple might be going through a tough patch.
Their inaction (as none of them intervened to clarify the situation) allowed the rumors to spread on social media.
