Man Turns Himself In After Strangling His Wife In Kakamega County
Police are looking into an incident where a man allegedly strangled his wife to death in Likuyani, Kakamega County.
Area Assistant Chief Maurice Mukopi reported that during the event in Moi’s Bridge’s Binyenya village, Ambrose Nyongesa, the suspect, strangled Daisy Chepkurui for an unspecified cause.
“I received a call from the area Nyumba Kumi representative who informed me about the incident. I rushed to the scene to ascertain what transpired,” Mukopi said.
In relation to the alleged murder of his 25-year-old wife, the 27-year-old suspect afterwards turned himself in at Matunda Police Station, he continued.
“The two have been living together for at least five months now. Police are conducting investigations to establish the motive behind the killing,” the administrator told Citizen Digital.
The deceased’s body has been transported to the mortuary of Kitale County Referral Hospital.
