Man Burns His House Attempting Suicide And Dig His Own Grave In Kisii County
A family in Ibacho village, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County, is now homeless as a result of Monday night’s house fires.
Billiah Kwamboka, in an interview with Citizen Digital, claimed that her husband set their house on fire before attempting to commit himself.
“Due to the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we took out a loan. Sadly, we were unable to repay the loan in accordance with the terms of the agreement “Kwamboka, who was upset, remarked.
As a result, the family lost their property piece, which drove the patriarch into heroin addiction. The land certificate used as security for the loan taken out by the family.
“My husband was a teacher before COVID-19 struck. We had planned to construct classrooms for a private school that we had set up in the area,” she added.
The man burned down the home’s houses that fateful day before excavating a grave in one of them.
The man was transported to Keroka Police Station over the strange turn of events, and the family has made an appeal for support from well-wishers.
