Lunga Lunga MP’s Driver Among Those Killed In A Road Accident
On Thursday, a car accident along Kwale County’s Lungalunga area claimed the lives of four persons, including the driver of Lungalunga MP Khatib Mwashetani.
According to police accounts, one of the vehicle’s tires exploded before the automobile began to roll numerous times while the four people were inside.
When the incident happened, the four were apparently running for Mwashetani’s re-election.
In a phone conversation with Citizen Digital, Kwale County Police Commissioner Gideon Oyagi stated that police have started an inquiry into the incident to determine the precise cause of the claimed tire burst.
The four victims’ bodies have subsequently been taken to a nearby mortuary pending an autopsy, and the debris of the car was taken to a nearby police station.
