Lawyer Cliff Ombeta Accepts Defeat On The Bonachari Constituency MP Race
Cliff Ombeta, a city attorney, has accepted defeat in the Tuesday, August 9 Bonchari Constituency elections.
Ombeta, who ran for the MP position on a UDA ticket, expressed hope that he will have a similar opportunity in the future in a social media post on Wednesday morning.
“Bonchari had a different vision from mine. Grateful for the run and the experience. Perhaps next time we may have the same view,” Ombeta wrote in a tweet.
The renowned Criminal Lawyer further said that Bonchari “has always and will always be in his heart.”
“Those who believed in me, we will keep it alive. This will not be our end politically. Our vision was probably not the same with the ordinary Boncharian, therefore we must bring it back to them in a different dimension,” he added.
Dr. Charles Onchoke (UPA), former MP Zebedeo Opore (Jubilee), Jonah Ondieki Onkendi (ODM), Charles Mogaka (UPIA), Violet Tita (PDP), Geoffrey Okindo (USAWA), James Atancha (MCC), and David Ogega were the other 8 contestants in Ombeta’s race (KNC).
