Khaligraph Speaks On Fatherhood And On Why He Doesn’t Post His Wife
Brian Ouko Omollo, better known by his stage name Khaligraph Jones, is a multi-award-winning Kenyan rapper who recently shared how becoming a father affected him.
Being a first-time father was exhilarating for Khaligraph, he said in an interview with YouTuber Presenter Ali, but he soon learned he needed to protect his kids, especially from online bullies.
The “Mbona” hitmaker claims that becoming a father has changed him in such a way that people who knew him before can now clearly identify who he is.
“Fatherhood has opened my eyes, it has changed me as a man, and there are many things, and even when I first became a parent and when you compare me now, we are two different people, it’s so different,” he stated.
“There is one place I would not want to subject my children to, especially for their own good. Being a first-time parent is exciting, but you quickly realize you need to protect your children, especially from the biggest trolls who happen to be on social media. I feel like that is my responsibility, so when you compare how I handle being a parent to how I started, it’s completely different.”
The rapper expressed his love for his wife Georgina Muteti and claimed that, despite the challenges of being a father, he is still a content family man.
“I’m a happy married man, but fatherhood has its own obstacles, and God is assisting me in those challenges. I’m very happy, I love my wife, and we are living a good life. God is assisting us, and what little we have is sufficient for us,” he said.
On the other side, he responded to purported criticism that was leveled at him online for leaving out his wife from his social media posts.
“I’m a very private man, especially when it comes to family, and people are always asking why I don’t post my wife, you can go look for her there if you need to see her, but you are not going to get that from Khaligraph because we know how the world is,” he said.
