Justina Wamae Says She Will Not Respond To Pettiness After Being Summoned By Roots Party Disciplinary
After being called to a disciplinary hearing for misrepresenting the Roots party during the most recent elections, Justina Wamae, the vice presidential candidate for Kenya’s Roots party, retaliated against the party.
Washika Wachira, the legal director for the Roots Party, said that Justina was asked to appear at the party’s headquarters on Friday to address allegations that she had made incoherent and nasty statements about it in both traditional and social media.
In a prompt social media response, Justina said that she would not be attending the summons and that she “shall soldier on.”
She refuted assertions made in the aforementioned statement that she received lodging and a party vehicle while running for office.
“I will not respond to pettiness. But on the non-existent accommodation and car you ‘imagined’ you ‘assisted’ me with you can withdraw in your DREAMS. It is your party do what you deem fit, I will soldier on,” she tweeted.
Justina was reported for constantly misrepresenting the views of the party and the party leader, including saying that Prof. Wajackoyah supported Raila Odinga’s candidacy for Azimio la Umoja.
Wachira continued by saying that Justina’s disregard for the manifesto and rules of the Roots Party resulted in “public humiliation and disrepute” for the political group.
After that, Justina received a warning to stop speaking on behalf of the group or risk legal repercussions.
“We have instructions from the party leader to demand that you cease and desist from speaking, uttering, or purporting to speak on behalf of the Roots Party of Kenya,” noted Wachira.
