He Has A Valid Degree; Duale Defends Sakaja On the Ongoing Degree Embattlement
Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has slammed the country’s criminal justice system, accusing it of being partisan and used by the state to harass political leaders close to Deputy President William Ruto.
Duale, in response to the recent controversy surrounding the degree of embattled Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, was quick to add that the use of the criminal justice system for actions outside their mandate will be reconsidered once Kenya Kwanza takes power.
According to Duale, who claims that the Nairobi Senator has a valid degree, there is more to the saga than meets the eye, pointing an accusing finger at actors in the criminal justice system who are targeting DP allies.
The former National Assembly Majority Leader assured supporters that Sakaja’s name would be on the ballot and that the final decision on who would be Nairobi’s governor would be made by the voters.
Sakaja has previously blamed his problems on President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of using his clout in Kenya and Uganda to stymie his gubernatorial bid in August.
Deputy President William Ruto has also weighed in on the academic qualifications of his ally, Sakaja, calling it an attack on his Kenya Kwanza coalition.
