Gareth Bale Retires From Club and international Football
On Monday, Wales legend Gareth Bale announced his retirement from club and international football. Wales won two UEFA Euros and their first FIFA World Cup since 1958 under the 33-year-old. Between 2013 and 2022, he won five Champions League titles with Real Madrid.
Bale began his career as a left-back in Southampton’s illustrious academy before joining Tottenham in 2007, where he gradually transitioned into a left winger and rose to new heights. Following his heroics with Tottenham, he moved to Real Madrid, where he played from 2013 to 22, before finishing his career with Los Angeles FC. Fans were shocked when the forward announced the news on social media, with some still hoping for a return to European football.
