Family Of The Missing IEBC Official Hopes To Find Him Safe And Sound
The family of missing Embakasi East Returning Officer Daniel Mbolu Musyoka is requesting that the appropriate security personnel expedite the search for their missing relative who vanished on August 11.
Mbolu vanished just before the East Africa School of Aviation Constituency Tallying Center announced the results for the Member of the National Assembly and MCA in the Embakasi East contest.
His wife Tabitha Mbolu claims the family is in misery three days after he vanished since search operations have been expanded to include morgues, hospitals, and other locations.
At their house in Nyonjoro Bahati Constituency, Nakuru County, Tabitha said she last spoke to her husband on August 10 when Mbolu told him about his busy schedule.
On a fateful day, she attempted to call her husband but in vain. Hours later a relative informed her that her husband had gone missing.
The 53-year-old Mbolu Musyoka was about to announce the winners of the Member of the National Assembly and Member of the County Assembly contests in Embakasi East, according to the family, when he excused himself from his bodyguard to take a call and then vanished.
According to Tabitha, her husband has been employed by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for 13 years. Before the 2022 General Elections, he was relocated to the IEBC office in Embakasi East after working in the Loitoktok IEBC offices.
His family said that an hour after he vanished in Mihangu, Utawala Area, the police stated that his cell phone had gone off.
They continue to believe that Daniel Mbolu will be discovered alive for the time being.
