Bishop Kosgei is among the five nominated MPs under the UDA party, the other four are Teresia Wanjiru Mwangi, Abdisirat Khalif Ali, Dorothy Muthoni Ikaria and Joseph Wainaina Iraya.
Irene Nyakerario Mayaka, Umulkher Mohamed, and John Mbadi, a former member from Suba South and current ODM chair, were all nominated to the National Assembly from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
The UDA party put forth candidates for the senate in the form of Peris Tobiko, Karen Nyamu, and secretary general Veronica Maina. The other individuals are Miraj Abdillahi Abdulrahman, Joyce Chepkoech Korir, Maureen Tabitha Mutinda Roselinda Soipan Tuya, and Gloria Magoma Orwoba.
Individuals with disabilities’ interests will be represented by George Mbugua.
On the other hand, the ODM party includes Beth Kalunga, Catherine Mumma, Beatrice Oyomo, Hamida Kibwana, and Betty Batuli Montet. The candidate for the position representing disabled persons is singer Crystal Asige.
One legislator each from the Jubilee Party, Wiper Party, Amani National Congress (ANC), and United Democratic Movement (UDM) was nominated to the National Assembly.
Sabina Chege, a former Murang’a Woman representative, was elected to the National Assembly through the Jubilee party, but Wipers nomination was withdrawn because the case is still pending in court.
“Not allocated due to the interim court order restraining the Commission from allocating the seat,” IEBC said.
Joseph Hamisi Denart will represent Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC, and Suleka Hulbale Harun will represent the UDM.
