Data Analysis Shows The Number Of Vehicles That Use The Expressway Daily
Kenyans who use the Nairobi Expressway every day have been counted by Transport CS James Macharia. Data gathered by the ministry showed that over 30,000 cars use the Nairobi Expressway every day, according to CS Macharia, who was speaking to the media on May 31.
However, the use of the road is still experimental while the government gets ready for its official debut.
“The road has been on a pilot phase over the last two weeks and so far we can say that it has been a success by the number of vehicles that we see there, at times over 31,000 on a daily basis,” said the CS in a statement

This indicates that investors who contributed more than Sh87.9 billion to the project’s funding may find the route to be feasible.
The Inter-American Development Bank’s analysis indicates that a road can only support a profitable toll business if it sees daily traffic of more than 5,000 vehicles.
