A milestone in a family’s life, the birth of a child is typically an occasion that is eagerly anticipated and filled with excitement.
Postpartum depression is a psychological condition where new mothers are typically depressed and irritable, have trouble sleeping, have sobbing fits, and feel anxious and tense.
When this happy occasion is followed by such a state of anhedonia, many women are astonished (inability to feel pleasure in normally pleasurable activities).
Celebrities have spoken about their experiences. They’re here;
Nadia Mukami
Nadia Mukami, a Kenyan singer, recently said that although many women experience difficulties after giving birth, they would rather not discuss it.
We just hit 4 months today,” she captioned a video she posted on Instagram of her adorable kid Haseeb Kai.
She continued by saying that one thing she had discovered was that while pregnancy is simple, the time immediately following childbirth presents greater difficulties, but she did go on to explain that she had survived.
Finally, she advised people to check on new mothers because it’s not as simple a journey as it may seem.
“The period after giving birth,those months are the hardest!The first 3-4 months of motherhood are crazy!!I survived!Please check on any new moms you know.”
