Anthony Mwangi Appointed As The New KAM CEO
Anthony Mwangi has been named the new CEO of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), effective September 15.
Mr. Mwangi has more than 20 years of expertise in a variety of areas, including stakeholder engagement, government relations, public policy, and company development.
He had previously held positions at Bolt, Tullow Oil, IBM, and Kenya Airways.
Mr. Mwangi has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi and a master’s degree in public policy and management from the Strathmore Business School.
He takes over for Phillis Wakiaga, who left the manufacturers’ lobby after a protracted tenure.
Tobias Alando, who is now the Acting CEO, has been named the lobby’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), and will be responsible for overseeing the association’s daily administrative and operational tasks.
