Aden Duale Wins Garissa Township MP Seat
Aden Duale, a member of parliament representing Garissa Township, has successfully defended his seat for a third term after being named the victor of the 2022 election by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
With a total of 9,905 votes, Duale easily won the election to keep his seat, defeating Abdulahi Mohamoud, who received 5,509 votes.
After being named MP-elect, the lawmaker spoke to the media and praised Kenyans for maintaining their composure. He also urged leaders to work together to advance the interests of the Kenyan republic’s citizens.
He declared, “We should work together and serve the nation. Kenyans have decided to be democratic and have refused to be intimidated by other leaders. Yesterday, Kenya Kwanza and Azimio leaders were seated together.
