“Raila Odinga And William Ruto Tried To Bribe Me To Join Their Teams” Wajackoya Claims
George Wajackoya, the presidential candidate of the Roots Party, has revealed that the country’s leading political factions have been courting him.
During an interview on Spice FM on Tuesday, Wajackoya claimed that both Deputy President William Ruto and ODM’s Raila Odinga have sent emissaries to court him into their respective political factions.
Ruto is the leader of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, while Raila is the leader of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, on whose ticket he is running for president for the fifth time.
The Roots Party leader, on the other hand, said he has been rejecting the duo’s advances, insisting that he will be on the presidential ballot on August 9.
“We are a movement that is going to be stoppable. The big parties have tried to bribe me but let me tell them very clearly that I am going up to the ballot. Those who are sending emissaries to me, especially those MPs, shame on them. Shame on the MPs from Kenya Kwanza and elders from Azimio. Raila and Ruto should not send me people, they should call me, not sending me stupid people,” he said.
