Babu Owino Re-elected As Embakasi East MP
On Thursday, Paul Ongili, commonly known as Babu Owino, was named the victor of the Embakasi East parliamentary seat by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
After obtaining 57,410 votes, the legislator, who ran on an ODM ticket, was successful in retaining his position.
Francis Mureithi, his closest rival and a UDA candidate, received a total of 29,104 votes.
Later, a group of Babu’s admirers joined him, and they performed an exhilarating song and dance number before Babu addressed the media.
He expressed gratitude to his supporters for helping him win the election and pledged to serve Embakasi East’s residents honorably for the ensuing five years.
