MP Tigania East, Gachunge’s Car Set Into Flames In Meru County
On Saturday evening, the MP for Tigania East Gichunge Kabeabea’s car caught fire.
The Toyota Prado BK model truck caught fire in Meru County’s Mikinduri neighborhood, close to the Thiiti Bridge.
Area police chief Joel Chepkwony stated that there is currently no clear information to determine the source of the fire in an interview with on Saturday.
Chepkwony stated that inquiries have been opened to ascertain whether the car was set on fire and to identify those responsible.
The event happened a few days after Philipe Sadjah, the former secretary general of the CCU Party, had his car set on fire.
No one was hurt, according to police reports, when the car caught fire Thursday night at Sadjah’s Miwani residence in Machakos County.
The CCU Sec Gen claimed that at night, unidentified visitors to his home made access demands and claimed to be from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
“If I have done something wrong, I should be called to the DCI or OCS to record a statement and not send people claiming to be DCI officers at night,” Sadjah said.
