“Uhuru Kenyatta Is Busy Threatening My Life” Moses Kuria Claims
Kuria made the charge in a letter of protest sent on Saturday to Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai.
The contentious MP asserted that his life is in risk “following Uhuru Kenyatta’s threats” without substantiating or supporting his assertions.
He said that the nation’s security agencies are prejudiced and that, despite the fact that his life was in danger, they were neglecting him while overprotecting his rivals.
The leader of the Chama Cha Kazi party is vying for the Kiambu governorship and will have to defeat Kimani Wamatangi of the UDA, William Kabogo of Tujibebe Wakenya, James Nyoro of Jubilee, and Patrick Wainaina alias Jungle of the Independent Party.
“Dear IG Mutyambai, while your boss Uhuru Kenyatta is busy threatening my life, you are providing police in uniforms in 3 land rovers under the command of an OCS to my competitor Kimani Wamatangi for all his meetings,” Kuria began in his protest statement shared across his social media accounts.
He appealed for equal treatment, citing instances when his competitors was allegedly given more security.
“It happened on Wednesday in Mungere in Lari and yesterday in Ngegu, Kiambu Town. Not even Governor James Nyoro is getting this level of security.
“Treat us all equally and more so those of us whose lives are in danger after Uhuru Kenyatta’s threats,” added the lawmaker.
It’s important to note that the contentious MP did not offer any evidence to support assertions that the head of state had threatened him.
Kuria also declined to describe the type of threats made against him or if he had reported them to the police.
