400 Workers Laid Off As Keroche Breweries Close Down Due To Tax Arrears

The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Services ought to be concerned and interrogate the matter as it is constitutionally mandated to safeguard the welfare of labour and legally obligated to protect all Kenyan workers.”
Last week, she announced that the IRS had issued agency notices to several banks against lending to the brewer, effectively paralyzing the company’s operations.
“The KRA measures of issuing the agency notices to all the banks in Kenya, have induced a harsh investment climate. Some banks with whom we were arranging financing are finding it difficult because frequent closures are raising risk levels,” added Tabitha
